For Stream of Consiounsness Saturday the word is “ick”. I am so excited to say that there IS no ick today. https://lindaghill.com/2017/07/07/the-friday-reminder-and-prompt-for-socs-july-817/
My husband and I went on a walk with the birds. We followed Kites from road to road until one finally landed in the top of a pine tree and I could video her calling to her mate. she has a very distinct call
A huge bird flew overhead that the sun caught and one wing looked white and one black.
The blue jays were in an all out fight with my sweet owl and her brother. We watched as the owl siblings preened one another, tried their hand at catching a squirrel in a tree(they failed) and many other owl activities. As we walked along, the flew above us to the trees around us, talking to us all the way. I almost feel like part of their little family. Their owl family. I’ve had over 4 months of hourly talks every single day with them. They take me away from every hurt I feel, every ounce of loneliness, every wound. They fill me up with such love. I adore them.
As I was standing under them a feather fell so gently so slowly, almost in slow motion. I held out my hand and it landed right in it. It was a beautiful moment I will never forget.
