Date day part 1 flowers flowers and more flowers

Today my husband and I went to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. It is fully accessible and infact they provide wheelchairs! How awesome are they!!!! There are miles of paved sidewalks that take you through rock gardens, butterfly gardens, bamboo gardens, ponds, streams, waterfalls, camellia gardens, rose gardens. Need I say more. I was in heaven! My husband has out done me on mindfulness and found things that I completely missed! He pointed out a hummingbird and a cardinal. All pictures I will post now. First come the flowers:

    • Oh those little ball flowers. I kept looking at them like what ARE these. There were purple, white yellow. All in different areas. Everything was labeled but I had never seen anything like it before. The polka dot one was some sort of toad lily. I should have looked up the spelling of lily. Maybe lilly? Oops don’t know. But it was wild looking at it. And the one flower that was pink with the purple tip balls looks like a rubber toy for a dog.

    • It’s probably because I have to approve all comments before they are posted and I fell asleep and just approved it. My wordpress was acting weird too because it said I had 30 notifications and comments but wouldnt let me access them!!!!!! Finally I went another route. And got to them.
The place really was a neat place. So many different things to see. It looks like a place for spring though. I the gardens, a lot of them were empty because they were spring boomers and yet I still got so many pictures of ones that were blooming. There is a camellia show in a few months because they will bloom then. We will go back for that and for the spring festival they have. It was great though because in that massive place we only saw maybe 5 other people sporadically. And two of them were laying on a blanket in the sun. My kind of place!

      • Omg that sounds like heaven πŸŒˆπŸπŸ–. So peaceful!

That’s really wise, your strategy of requiring approval on all blog comments πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ. Especially given what you’ve dealt with this year! πŸ’žπŸ’ž

I’m so glad you’re getting some moments of peace and happiness! I love your pictures! πŸ€—πŸ˜β£

      • Wow!! Those iPads have gotten really sophisticated! I’ve seen some great quality pics from those 😁❀️. The image files are *huge* though, right? I had done a couple posts on my “other” “misc” blog, where I’d taken a series of photos with my dinky little iPhone and omg some of those files were like 4MB (!!) πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚. And I had uploaded like 10-15 in each post (x 2 posts) and wondered why the used space on my blog had jumped from 3% to 7% πŸ˜³πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚. So then, just last night, I went in with my laptop and took screenshots and then converted the PNG files back to JPG and replaced the old big image files with the new smaller ones. 4MB became ~150k without too much of a loss in quality or size. I made sure to delete the big files from my WP media library and poof!–7% jumped back down to 3% πŸ˜πŸ’—. Sorry for the book of a comment lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I just wanted to share my “newfound” knowledge with you or anyone else, in case blog space ever gets to be an issue πŸ’šπŸ’™

Your pics are sooooo pretty though! I totally love them! It’s like a neat window into your beautiful spirit, in a way that I imagine (and hope!) is safe and peaceful for you πŸ’“πŸ’•πŸ’“

      • You’re very welcome, my lovely! 😘❀️. I’m not sure how to do it on a Windows machine, but I’d be happy to talk you through it on a Mac if you ever need me to 😁. Omg yeah, WP always looks like it has so much space, but that 3GB goes really fast πŸ˜³πŸ’“πŸ’•πŸ’“

    • The flowers were these little puff balls of different colors. One looked like a purple star. One was on a ginger plant that looked like a pinecone but was red called pinecone ginger. The bamboo was just a forest of it so we were surrounded by it and the sound of it in the wind was just so soothing. You would have loved it there because the side walks were wide and smooth and everything was right next to the side walk but not in the way to make you trip. There were bridges that went over water so you could look down on huge lily pads too.
